Returns

The reality is, returns cost companies a lot. So we do our absolute best to ensure everything is done right and to your expectations (or better) the first time. Similarly once an item has been processed we unfortunately can no longer cancel the order.

However, we know that things happen. If your item arrives damaged or defective and in need of return or replacement - just let us know within 10 days of arrival. To be eligible, your item needs to be unused and in the same condition that you received it. No restocking fee or other hidden costs!

Unfortunately we cannot currently accept returns for reasons beyond a damaged or defective item (such as a change of mind) and all returns or replacement claims must be actioned within the 10 day arrival window.

Different products come from different warehouses and we do reserve the right to inspect all returns before processing a refund so let us know if you'd like to file a return and we'll work with you to make it as easy as possible.

Before making a return though please contact us and we'll do everything we can to make sure that you're happy with your LightStyl experience.

Contact Us

Apparently we don't advertise our About Us page enough because we get this question a lot. We're headquartered and located in Austin, Texas.

While some of our manufacturers and partners are located all over the world most are also here in the US, with warehouses across the country to reduce domestic shipping times.

We pride ourselves on being accessible so there are a variety of ways to reach us.

We're always available through the website or by email at support@lightstyl.com. Alternatively you can direct message us on any of our social media channels (just click the icons at the bottom of any page).

Normal support hours are between 10:00am - 5:00pm Central Time, Monday through Friday; but we will always get back to you. Even if we have to walk to the fires of Mt. Doom to do it we will, rest assured.

Shipping

While we do not currently support international shipping (or to Hawaii/Alaska), as both the top bar and checkout page mention, shipping within the continental United States is completely free! Just pay product cost and we'll get it to you as soon as possible. While we've ensured that all items have tracking information so you can keep as up-to-date as possible, we are not responsible for lost or stolen packages after delivery.

We spend a lot of time and effort meticulously working with manufacturers and supply chain partners to ensure that most products can reliably arrive anywhere within the continental US inside of 1-2 weeks (if not sooner).

However in some instances, such as products with especially high demand or more intricate fixtures, shipping could take a bit longer. In these less likely cases if you don't receive the product within 3-4 weeks please reach out and let us know.

Affiliates

You betcha! All you need to do is register here and start earning 5% back on every customer order that comes from a referral. You could get up to $65 per order on some products.

Not only will you earn 5%, but your friends and family will save 5% on their orders through your referral. Reach out with any questions!

As an aside, our marketing manager Cameron created the affiliate program and is very proud of it. So, if you do sign-up, be sure to let him know your thoughts through the support@lightstyl.com email and we will pass along your feedback straight to him.

By signing up to become a LightStyl Affiliate you agree to our program's terms & conditions viewable here for reference.

Light Color

Great question because it's all over our store on just about every product.

"Light temperature" just refers to (and is sometimes called) the light color which dictates the type of "white" on a scale. Most of our products are either "Warm White" or "Cool White" which have temperatures of 3000K & 6000K respectively. In some instances we offer "Natural Light" which is about 4000K.

This photo should help visualize what the temperature scale looks like:

Visual Light Temperature Scale

In some cases we have a "RGB" option which stands for Red Green Blue and is essentially all available colors in one (as you'll notice in the product pictures).

If you need any more help figuring out colors and temperatures though, please feel free to reach out!
